This week CBI lesson is focus on what operations management means. Also, why operations management is important in all types of organisations. Moreover, the tutoring sessions evaluate the input–transformation–output process and the process hierarchy. Lastly, the coaching sessions look at the different characteristics of operations processes and the activities of operations management.
The administration of business activities to achieve the best level of efficiency feasible inside an organisation is known as operations management (OM). It is concerned with effectively transforming materials and labour into goods and services in order to maximise an organization's profit.
Operation management is about managing resources to match capacity and fill the gap whether it's related to covering the products, or services delivered to avoid a shortage that can lead not to have a productive and efficient service that will affect the brand's reputation and revenue
